Background Investigations |
Employers can be held criminally and civilly liable
for the actions of an employee if the actions result
in harm to another. Background checks are conducted
primarily to avoid negligent hiring related law suits.
Undetected misrepresentations in work related experience
and education history may create fallout you may not
want to defend against. Our background checks
are tailored to meet the needs of our clients.
Consideration is given to the nature of the corporate
purpose, the depth of the prospective applicant's
accessibility to sensitive corporate information,
the autonomy of the position being filled, and management
and/or policy making responsibilities. Background
checks are considered "Consumer Reports"
as defined by 15 U.S.C. §1681 (a)(d)(1). All
investigations are conducted within the framework
of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681
et seq., and the rules promulgated by the Federal
Trade Commission (FTC) and the Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission (EEOC) as documented in the Cod of Federal
Regulations (CFR) as well as applicable Arizona Revised
Statutes and the Arizona Administrative Code. |
